Not large enough or concentrated enough to be called a Chinatown, Normanton had a cultural precinct where most Chinese people lived.

"Normanton ... had both Chinese-Aboriginal and Chinese-White mixed heritage families. The Chinese Family Landscape of Normanton remained very small with around 6 primary families identified over a sixty-year period."
The maps show the location of families and market gardens over a period of time. Families included the Ah Sing's and the Ah Foo's.
