Ma Mansion
The Ma Mansion was the residence of Ma Ying Piu in his home village, Shachong, in Zhongshan. Ma Ying Piu was the founder of Wing Sang & Co and Sincere Department Stores. Ma Mansion is located within Ma Gong Memorial Park, which is comprised of three buildings: a memorial hall, a residential building and a kindergarten. </p>
<p>The residential building of the Ma family was called Nam Yuen Tang (南源堂). It was named after Ma Ying Piu’s two grandsons Ma Kin Nam (馬健南) and Ma Kin Yuen (馬健源). The building was constructed in 1923 and was in English architectural style. </p>
<p>Since Ma Ying Piu’s descendants live in Hong Kong, they unconditionally lent the property and the land to the village in 2005 and let them re-purpose the building. It is now turned into a museum of local history.
