A gardeners hut, now on private property but once on an estate called Mimosa. The hut is in good condition and nearby are other remains of the Mimosa estate including a church and school. The hut was perhaps occupied by a series of Chinese gardeners with the garden in a nearby depression.
Inside the hut is a two line couplet written on either side of an inner door expressing something of the yearnings of a bachelor life.
Upon hearing the cries of hens, I think of the realm of joy;
(but) when I hear the calls of birds, I rue the bachelor's life.
