A modern cast bell in a “temple” style marking the site of the Brisbane Chinatown.

Installled as part of the revamp of the Brisbance Chinatown the bell features Australian motifs and simplified characters as well as English. The model for the bell is the grander temple bells similaer to that looted from Beijing and now in teh Powerhouse Muusem Sydney rather than to Joss House bells made for Australia's temples in the 19th century.
