Charters Towers Joss House
"There are two public Joss Houses and innumerable private josses on the field, the chief Joss House being on the Bluff Road, close to the old cemetery. The observer passing that way will have noticed a curious collection of buildings which are evidently of the Mongolia Renaissance style of architecture. Yesterday the red flag fluttered proudly over the main temple..."
