Decorative panels removed from one of the two Joss House at Harrietville, probably Mill Rd.

Joss Houses were gorgeously decorated with colourful carved panelling, altar pieces and embroidery banners. As the Joss Houses were abandoned local residents often souvenired pieces which eventually found their way into the local museum.
