In a book named “The Paddocks Beneath: A History of Burnside from the Beginning”, page 147 mentions William Hill leasing his land in Knoxville (now Glenunga) to Chinese market gardeners. The photo is the certificate of this piece of land.
In the late 1800s, Chinese migrants moved into the area below Waterfall Terrace in Waterfall Gully – page 192.
