Heathcote Joss House

"A Chinaman at Heathcote, Victoria, whose residence is near the Joss House, has been troubled by boys who have contracted a liking for his peaches."

"Their camp, in which there was the customary Joss House, was visited by Europeans on Sundays, who purchased crackers from them and also peanuts." "A Chinese camp in time was formed with a fair population on the east side of the creek and on the site where the Joss House now stands, and also on the west side of the creek, almost opposite the Ben Nevis Hotel, where the Chinese garden was for years."
