Sun, Loy Kee

Sun Loy Kee not only ran a shop which he advertised often (Western Grazier, 3 June 1911, p.3 and 30 October 1915, p.3) but more unusually was also a horse breeder. ‘SK’ was his horse brand as it was listed in the Government Gazette of the State of New South Wales, 17 August 1910 [Issue No.128] , p.4531. In 1910 he entered a number of prize winning ponies into sections of the Wilcannia Show (Barrier Miner, 1 June 1910, p.3) and the following year Sun Loy Kee entered two draughthorses in the Wilcannia Pastoral Agricultural and Horticultural Society Show (Western Grazier, 27 May 1911, p.2.
